Creating a Brand that Integrates a Region’s Agricultural Roots and Iconic Rapids Whitewater Region

Challenge Whitewater Region, a picturesque and historical municipality in Renfrew County, Ontario, wanted to create an updated brand and new creative concept to promote their area as they prepared to launch a redesigned website.
Our Role Syntax Strategic worked with local councils to understand their corporate and communications objectives for the new brand, and developed a public, online survey which allowed residents of the region to vote on their favourite of three proposed new logos. Once a selection had been made, Syntax created a new brand identity with supporting guidelines, as well as a number of creative materials including print ads, a regular newsletter, digital ads, branded flags, and an interactive map.
Impact Whitewater Region’s new brand was successfully launched with full community buy-in and support which resulted from the extensive and inclusive consultation sessions which were conducted in the area. Syntax has since helped develop new signage which has been installed across the region.
