Highlighting the Importance of Cancer Research Through a New Brand Identity Canadian Cancer Research Alliance

Brand Development
Challenge The Canadian Cancer Research Alliance (CCRA) is a national alliance of organizations that coordinate and collaborate on cancer research in Canada. The CCRA requested Syntax’s assistance to develop a unique brand identity for its feature event, the Canadian Cancer Research Conference, starting with a new and fresh unique Conference logo for the 2023 edition of the Conference in Halifax.
Our Role Syntax Strategic worked with the CCRA’s team to understand their corporate and communications objectives for the new Conference brand. Syntax reviewed all existing materials and produced a selection of varied concepts for the logo. Once an initial selection was made, Syntax refined the logo and branding guidelines to get to a final version. Syntax then created a new brand identity with supporting guidelines, as well as a number of creative materials including document templates, social media graphics, newsletter materials, and Conference signage and promotional items for delegates.
Impact The CCRA has launched its new Conference identity online, and it’s been noticed! The alliance will now benefit from a fresh and more attractive visual brand for its Conference, which will be seamlessly extended at the actual event through on-site signage and general communication materials.
